في الرجل والمرأة يصلي وبينه وبين الإمام حائط
If a woman is praying behind a man but there is a wall between them, what is the ruling?
Hadith 6297
٦٢٩٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا (١) حفص بن غياث (عن ليث) (٢) (عن نعيم) (٣) قال: قال عمر: إذا كان بينه وبين الإمام طريق أو نهر أو حائط فليس معه (٤).
Hazrat Umar says that if there is a path, a river, or a wall between the imam and the follower, then he is not with him.
Hadith 6298
٦٢٩٨ - حدثنا ابن مهدي عن سفيان عن الأعمش عن إبراهيم أنه كان يكره أن يصلي بصلاة الإمام إذا كان (بينهما) (١) طريق أو نساء.
Ibrahim considered it disliked that a person should pray behind the imam in such a way that there is a path or women between them.
Hadith 6299
٦٢٩٩ - حدثنا ابن مهدي عن إسرائيل عن عيسى بن (أبي) (١) عزة عن الشعبي قال: سألته عن المرأة تأتم بالإمام وبينهما طريق، فقال: ليس ذلك لها.
Hazrat Isa bin Abi Azza narrates that I asked Hazrat Sha'bi whether a woman can follow an imam in prayer when there is a path between her and the imam. He replied that it is not permissible.
