Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Abdullah says that he should offer four rak‘ahs.

Hazrat Abdullah says that whoever misses the Eid prayer should offer four rak‘ahs.

Hazrat Sha'bi says that he should perform four rak'ahs.

Hazrat Ata says that he should offer two rak‘ahs and say the takbeer.

On the day of Eid, Hazrat Anas would gather the women of his household and the servant women, and Abdullah bin Abi Utbah would lead them in the Eid prayer.

Hazrat Hakam states that Abu Ayyaz was in hiding; on the day of Eid, Hazrat Mujahid came to him and led him in two units of prayer, then made supplication.

Hazrat Dhahak says that whoever, due to an excuse, is unable to perform the Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, or Friday prayer, should offer four rak'ahs.

Hazrat Ibn al-Hanafiyyah says that he will perform two rak'ahs.

Hasan says that he will pray in the same manner as the Imam's prayer.

Ibrahim says that whoever misses the Eid prayer should perform a prayer like the Imam's prayer. Ibrahim says that when people are returning after performing the prayer, you should come to the mosque and perform the Imam's prayer, and whoever is unable to go for the Eid prayer should also perform a prayer like the Imam's prayer.

Hazrat Hammad says that whoever is unable to offer the Eid prayer with the Imam on the day of Eid should perform the prayer like the Imam and say the Takbeers as the Imam does.

Hazrat Shareek says that I asked Abu Ishaq about the person who comes on Eid day after the Imam has finished the prayer, so he said that he should perform two rak'ahs.

Muhammad says that if a person misses the Eid prayer, it is recommended for him to perform a prayer like the Imam's prayer and to recite what the Imam recited, if he knows what the Imam recited.
