Those who permitted praying before the imam arrives
Hadith 5885
٥٨٨٥ - حدثنا إسماعيل بن علية عن أيوب قال: رأيت أنس بن مالك والحسن يصليان قبل خروج الإمام يعني يوم العيد (١).
Ayyub narrates that Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) and Hasan used to perform prayer before the arrival of the Imam on the day of Eid.
Hadith 5886
٥٨٨٦ - حدثنا ابن علية عن ابن أبي عروبة عن قتادة أن أبا برزة كان يصلي في العيد قبل (١) الإمام (٢).
Hazrat Qatadah says that Hazrat Abu Barzah used to offer prayer on Eid day before the arrival of the Imam.
Hadith 5887
٥٨٨٧ - حدثنا معاذ بن معاذ (عن) (١) التيمي أنه رأى أنسا والحسن وسعيد بن ⦗٢٤١⦘ أبي الحسن وجابر بن (زيد) (٢) يصلون قبل خروج (٣) الإمام في العيدين (٤).
Hazrat Taymi says that I have seen Hazrat Anas, Hasan, Saeed bin Abi al-Hasan, and Jabir bin Zaid performing the Eid prayer before the arrival of the Imam on the days of Eid.
Hadith 5888
٥٨٨٨ - حدثنا معاذ عن (التيمي) (١) عن عبد اللَّه الداناج قال: رأيت أبا برزة يفعله (٢).
Abdullah Danaj says that I have seen Abu Barzah do this.
Hadith 5889
٥٨٨٩ - حدثنا (١) عبد الأعلى عن برد عن مكحول أنه كان يصلي يوم الفطر والنحر قبل خروج الإمام.
Hazrat Burd says that Hazrat Mak'hool used to perform the prayer before the arrival of the Imam on Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Fitr.
Hadith 5890
٥٨٩٠ - حدثنا غندر عن شعبة عن الحكم عن الأسود أنه كان يصلي (١) يوم العيد قبل خروج الإمام.
Hazrat Aswad used to perform the prayer on Eid day before the arrival of the Imam.
Hadith 5891
٥٨٩١ - حدثنا سهل بن يوسف عن التيمي عن الأزرق بن قيس عن رجل قال: رأيت (رجالًا) (١) من أصحاب النبي ﷺ جاؤوا يوم عيد فصلوا قبل (٢) الإمام (٣).
A man says that on the day of Eid, I saw some companions who performed the prayer before the arrival of the Imam.
Hadith 5892
٥٨٩٢ - حدثنا عبد الأعلى عن الجريري عن خالد الأحدب عن عمه صفوان بن محرز قال: كانت صلاة صفوان يوم الفطر والنحر عشر ركعات قبل خروج الإمام (وركعتين مع الإمام) (١) وركعتين بعد الإمام.
Hazrat Safwan used to perform ten rak'ahs before the arrival of the Imam on the day of Eid, two rak'ahs with the Imam, and two rak'ahs after the congregation.
Hadith 5893
٥٨٩٣ - حدثنا أبو خالد الأحمر عن التيمي قال: رأيت أنسا والحسن وسعيد ابن أبي الحسن يصلون يوم العيد قبل (١) الإمام (٢).
Hazrat Taimi says that I have seen Hazrat Anas, Hasan, and Hazrat Saeed bin Abi Al-Hasan performing the prayer before the Imam on the day of Eid.
