Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Nafi' narrates that Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) would perform the Fajr prayer in the Prophet's Mosque, and then, in the same state, would proceed towards the Eidgah.

Hazrat Hatim bin Ismail says that Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Harmalah, after completing the morning prayer on the day of Eid, would set out towards the Eidgah with Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib, which was near the house of Kathir bin As-Salt, and there they would sit between the two doors of the gate.

Ata bin Saib says that I have performed the Fajr prayer in this mosque on the day of Eid al-Fitr. When Abu Abdur Rahman and Abdullah bin Ma’qil would finish the Fajr prayer, they would set out towards the Eidgah. I also started walking with them.

Ibrahim says that the predecessors used to offer the Fajr prayer wearing their Eid clothes.

Hazrat Abu Majliz says that on the day of Eid al-Fitr, after the Fajr prayer, you should proceed towards the Eidgah.

Hazrat Urwah would not go for the Eid prayer until the sun had risen high.

Hazrat Muhammad bin Ali, Aamir, and Ata say that do not go out for the Eid prayer until the sun has risen high.

Hazrat Isa bin Sahl says that he saw his grandfather, Hazrat Rafi’ bin Khadij, and his sons sitting in the mosque; when the sun would rise, they would perform two rak’ahs and then set out towards the Eidgah. They used to do this on both Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.

Hazrat Mansur says that on the day of Eid, at the time of the morning prayer, I went to Ibrahim. He had already performed the prayer and was wearing Eid clothes.
