الرجل يروح يوم الجمعة فيستقبله الناس منصرفين أيمضي (أو) يرجع؟
If someone sets out for Jumu'ah but sees people returning, should he continue or go back?
Hadith 5503
٥٥٠٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا هشيم قال: أخبرنا هشام (١) عن ابن سيرين عن زيد بن ثابت أنه راح إلى الجمعة فإذا الناس قد استقبلوه وقد صلوا، قال: فمال إلى (مسجد) (٢) (أو) (٣) إلى دار فصلى قال: فقيل له: في ذلك فقال: إنه من لا يستحي من الناس لا يستحي من اللَّه (٤).
Hazrat Ibn Sirin narrates that Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit once set out for Jumu'ah, but when he saw people returning ahead, he turned towards a mosque or a house. When someone objected to this action of Hazrat Zaid, he replied, "Whoever does not feel shame before people does not feel shame before Allah either."
Hadith 5504
٥٥٠٤ - حدثنا هشيم عن ابن عون وحجاج [(بن) (١) أبي عثمان] (٢) عن ابن سيرين أنه كان يقول: إذا استقبلك الناس يوم الجمعة وقد صلّوا فامض إلى المسجد فإن علمت ما قرأ به الإمام فاقرأ به وصل.
Hazrat Ibn Sirin used to say that when you meet people returning after offering the Friday prayer, you should still go towards the mosque. Then if you find out which Surahs the Imam recited, you should also recite those same Surahs.
Hadith 5505
٥٥٠٥ - حدثنا ابن إدريس عن هشام عن ابن سيرين أن زيد (١) بن ثابت لقي الناس راجعين من الجمعة فمال إلى دار له، فقال: من لا يستحي من الناس لا يستحي من اللَّه (٢).
Hazrat Ibn Sirin narrates that Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit once set out for Jumu'ah, but when he saw people returning ahead, he turned towards a house. Someone objected to Hazrat Zaid's action, so he said: "Whoever does not feel shame before people does not feel shame before Allah either." Hasan and Hazrat Ibn Sirin say that he should continue walking for the prayer.
