الرجل يسلم إذا جاء والإمام يخطب
If someone enters the mosque during the khutbah, can he greet with salam?
Hadith 5364
٥٣٦٤ - حدثنا هشيم قال أخبرنا يونس عن الحسن أنه كان يسلم إذا جاء والإمام يخطب ويردون ﵇.
Yunus narrates that when Hasan would enter the mosque during the sermon, he would offer greetings of peace, and the people would respond to his greeting.
Hadith 5365
٥٣٦٥ - حدثنا هشيم قال أخبرنا مغيرة والأعمش عن إبراهيم قال: كانوا يردون السلام يوم الجمعة والإمام يخطب ويشمّتون العاطس.
Ibrahim states that the predecessors used to reply to greetings during the Friday sermon and would also say "Yarhamukallah" to someone who sneezed.
Hadith 5366
٥٣٦٦ - حدثنا غندر عن شعبة عن الحكم وحماد في الرجل يدخل المسجد يوم الجمعة وقد خرج الإمام (قال) (١): يسلم ويردون عليه وإذا عطس شمّتوه وردوا عليه.
Hazrat Hakam and Hazrat Hammad, regarding the person who enters the mosque on Friday after the arrival of the Imam, state that he will offer greetings (salaam) and the people will respond to his greeting. When he sneezes, they will say "Yarhamukallah" to him.
Hadith 5367
٥٣٦٧ - حدثنا وكيع عن إسرائيل عن جابر عن عامر وسالم قال: يرد السلام يوم الجمعة ويسمع.
Hazrat Aamir and Hazrat Salim say that on the day of Friday, the greeting of Salaam will be answered and the Salaam will be made to be heard.
