Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to sit in the posture of "Habwah" during the Imam's sermon. (The meaning of making "Habwah" is that a person sits on his buttocks, raises his knees, and ties both hands around them for support, or ties a cloth around his back and knees. The people of Arabia often used to sit in this manner.)

Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib used to sit with his knees drawn up (in the posture of "Habwah") during the Imam's sermon on Friday.

Hazrat Ubaidullah bin Umar narrates that I saw Hazrat Salim and Hazrat Qasim sitting with their knees drawn up (in the posture of habwah) during the Imam's sermon on Friday.

Hazrat Fitr narrates that I saw Hazrat Ata sitting with his knees drawn up (in the posture of habwah) during the Imam's sermon.

Hazrat Ash'ath narrates that I saw Hasan sitting with his knees drawn up (habwah) during the Imam's sermon on Friday.

Hazrat Salim Khayyat says that Hasan, Muhammad, Hazrat Ikrimah bin Khalid, Hazrat Amr bin Dinar, Hazrat Abu Zubair, and Hazrat Ata used to sit with their knees drawn up (habwah) during the Imam's sermon on Friday.

Hazrat Nafi' narrates that Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) used to sit with his knees drawn up (habwah) during the Imam's sermon on Friday.
