Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Bakr bin Abdullah narrates that once a man came to Hazrat Umar and said that a certain person led us in the Fajr prayer and recited a Surah in which there was a verse of prostration (sajdah). Hazrat Umar asked, "Did he really do that?" The informant replied, "Yes." The next day, Hazrat Umar led the Fajr prayer and recited Surah An-Nahl and Surah Bani Isra'il, and performed sajdah in both.

Hazrat Masruq bin Ajda’ says that I offered the ‘Isha prayer with Hazrat Usman, in which he recited Surah An-Najm and performed sajdah. In the second rak‘ah, he recited Surah At-Tin.

Hazrat Abu Rafi’ says that Hazrat Umar led us in the ‘Isha prayer and in one rak‘ah he recited Surah Al-Inshiqaq. In it, he performed sajdah and so did we.
