Hazrat Mughira says that I asked Ibrahim, "If I recite a verse of prostration and, while performing the prostration, I forgetfully add another prostration with it, what is the ruling for me?" He replied, "Now perform two prostrations for forgetfulness as well."

Hasan, regarding the person who recites a verse of prostration during the obligatory prayer and then performs two prostrations, says that after finishing, he will also perform two prostrations of forgetfulness.

Hazrat Ubaidullah bin Abi Ziyad says that I asked Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair, "If I recite a verse of prostration while in the state of prostration, should I perform a prostration?" He replied, "No, but why do you recite a verse of prostration while in the state of prostration?"
