Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that when the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) would raise his head from bowing (ruku‘), he used to say these words: O Allah! All praise is for Allah, as much as would fill the heavens and the earth and whatever else You will besides them, as much as would fill all that is in Your knowledge. You are the Owner of praise and greatness. Whatever You wish to give, none can withhold, and whatever You do not wish to give, none can grant. No wealth or offspring of any person can benefit him against You.

Hazrat Ibn Abi Awfa narrates that when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would raise his head from bowing (ruku), he used to say these words: O Allah! All praise is for Allah, praise that fills the heavens and the earth and whatever else You will, besides them, as much as fills them, according to Your knowledge.

Hazrat Abu Juhaifa narrates that when the Imam would raise his head from bowing (ruku‘), Hazrat Abdullah used to say these words: O Allah! All praise is for Allah, praise that fills the heavens and the earth and whatever else is in between them as much as You know.

Hazrat Harith narrates that when Hazrat Ali would raise his head from bowing (ruku), he would say these words: Allah has heard the one who praised Him. O Allah! O our Lord! All praise is for You. By the strength granted by You and the power bestowed by You, I stand and sit.

It is narrated from Hazrat Qaza'ah that when the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would raise his head from bowing (ruku'), he used to say these words: O Allah! All praise is for You, filling the heavens and the earth and whatever else You will, as much as fills them, according to Your knowledge. You are the Owner of praise and greatness. Whatever You wish to give, no one can withhold, and whatever You do not wish to give, no one can grant. A person's wealth, property, and children cannot benefit him in any way against You.

Hazrat Abu Juhaifah narrates that when the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would raise his head from bowing in prayer, he used to say these words: Allah has heard the one who praised Him. O Allah! O our Lord! All praise is for You, as much as would fill the heavens and the earth and whatever else You will, beyond that, as much as would fill whatever is in Your knowledge. No one can withhold what You wish to give, and no one can give what You do not wish to give. A person's wealth, property, and children cannot benefit him against You in any way. While saying these words, he used to raise his voice.

Hazrat Abu Salamah narrates that Hazrat Abu Hurairah used to say these words while rising from bowing: O Allah! O our Lord! All praise is for You.

Hazrat Burd narrates that Hazrat Mak’hool used to say these words while rising from ruku: O Allah! All praise is for You, filling the heavens and the earth and whatever else exists as per Your knowledge. You are the Owner of praise and greatness. And Your praise is with those best words which the servants say, and we are all Your servants. Whatever You wish to give, no one can withhold it, and whatever You do not wish to give, no one can grant it. A person’s wealth, assets, and children cannot benefit him in comparison to You.

Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say these words while raising his head from bowing: Allah has heard the one who praised Him. O Allah! O our Lord! All praise is for You, as much as would fill the heavens and the earth and whatever else You will, in addition to them, as much as would fill all that is in Your knowledge.

Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I performed prayer with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and his bowing (ruku) used to be equal in length to his standing (qiyam). Then he would say these words: Allah has heard the one who praised Him. Then he would stand for a considerable time.

Hazrat Aswad narrates that Hazrat Umar, while rising from ruku‘ and before standing up straight, used to say these words: Allah has heard the one who praised Him.

Hazrat A'raj states that Hazrat Abu Hurairah used to say these words in a loud voice: O Allah! O our Lord! All praise is for You.
