في (التعوذ) كيف هو قبل القراءة أو بعدها؟
Should 'A'udhu billah' be recited before or after the Quranic recitation in salah?
Hadith 2477
٢٤٧٧ - حدثنا حفص عن الأعمش عن إبراهيم عن الأسود قال: افتتح عمر الصلاة، ثم كبر، ثم قال: سبحانك اللهم وبحمدك، وتبارك اسمك، وتعالى جدك، ولا إله غيرك، أعوذ باللَّه من الشيطان الرجيم، الحمد للَّه رب العالمين (١).
Hazrat Aswad narrates that when Hazrat Umar would begin the prayer, he would say Allahu Akbar and then recite these words: O Allah, You are Pure and all praise is for You. Your name is blessed, Your majesty is exalted, and there is no deity except You. After this, he would recite Ta'awwudh and then recite Surah Al-Fatihah.
Hadith 2478
٢٤٧٨ - حدثنا ابن فضيل عن حصين عن سفيان عن الأسود قال: سمعت عمر افتتح الصلاة وكبر، فقال: سبحانك اللهم وبحمدك، (و) (١) تبارك اسمك، وتعالى جدك، ولا إله غيرك ثم (تعوذ) (٢) (٣).
Hazrat Aswad narrates that I heard Hazrat Umar, when he began the prayer, say Allahu Akbar, then recite these words: O Allah, You are pure and all praise is for You. Your name is blessed, Your majesty is exalted, and there is no deity except You. After this, he recited the Ta'awwudh.
Hadith 2479
٢٤٧٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا حفص عن ابن (جريج) (١) عن نافع عن ابن عمر كان يتعوذ يقول: أعوذ باللَّه من الشيطان الرجيم، أو (أعوذ باللَّه السميع) (٢) العلم من الشيطان الرجيم (٣).
Hazrat Nafi' narrates that Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) used to say these words for seeking refuge: "I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan." Or he used to say these words: "I seek refuge with Allah, the All-Hearing, All-Knowing, from the accursed Satan."
Hadith 2480
٢٤٨٠ - [حدثنا محمد بن أبي عدي عن كهمس عن عبد اللَّه بن مسلم بن يسار قال: سمعني أبي وأنا أستعيذ بالسميع العليم، فقال: ما هذا؟! (قال) (١): (قل) (٢) أعوذ باللَّه من الشيطان الرجيم إن اللَّه هو السميع العليم] (٣).
Hazrat Abdullah bin Muslim bin Yasar says that once I was reciting "A'udhu billahi as-sami' al-'aleem," so my father said, "What is this? You should say 'A'udhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim.' Allah Almighty is indeed All-Hearing and All-Knowing."
Hadith 2481
٢٤٨١ - حدثنا عبد الوهاب (الثقفي) (١) عن أيوب عن محمد: أنه كان يتعوذ قبل قراءة فاتحة الكتاب، وبعدها، ويقول في تعوذه: أعوذ (باللَّه السميع) (٢) العلم من همزات الشياطين وأعوذ باللَّه أن يحضرون.
Ayyub narrates that Muhammad used to recite the Ta'awwudh before and after Surah Al-Fatihah. In his Ta'awwudh, he used to say these words: I seek refuge in Allah from the evil suggestions of Satan, and I seek refuge in Allah from their presence with me.
Hadith 2482
٢٤٨٢ - حدثنا ابن إدريس عن حصين عن عمرو بن مرة عن (عباد بن) (١) عاصم عن نافع بن جبير بن مطعم عن أبيه قال: سمعت النبي ﷺ حين افتتح ⦗٢٥⦘ الصلاة قال: "اللَّهُم (إِنَّي) (٢) أعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ من هَمْزِهِ وَنفْخِهِ وَنَفْثِهِ" (٣).
Hazrat Jubair bin Mut’im narrates that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) at the beginning of the prayer saying: O Allah! I seek Your protection from the disease incited by the accursed Satan, from the arrogance imposed by him, and from the poetry inspired by him.
