Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Naseer narrates that I saw Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) giving the call to prayer (adhan) while on a camel.

Hazrat Muhammad bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I saw Hazrat Rabi’ bin Harash giving the call to prayer (adhan) while on a horse.

Hasan did not see any harm in a person giving the adhan and iqamah while on his mount, then dismounting and performing the prayer.

Hazrat Nafi' narrates that Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) used to give the adhan while on a camel, then would descend and say the iqamah.

Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Mujbir narrates that I saw Hazrat Salim standing on the stirrup of the camel-litter and giving the call to prayer (adhan).
