Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hasan was asked: If a person in a state of major ritual impurity (junub) sweats so much that it drips from his clothes, what is the ruling? He replied: He can pray in those same clothes.

Hazrat Ikrimah states that Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) did not consider there to be any harm in the sweat of a person in a state of janabah or a menstruating woman.

Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair was asked: If the sweat of a person in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah) touches the clothes, what should be done? He replied: There is no harm in it.

Hazrat Ikrimah states that Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) did not consider there to be any harm in the sweat of a person in a state of janabah or a menstruating woman.

Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) did not consider there to be any harm in the sweat of a person in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah).

Hazrat Ata says that if the sweat of a person in a state of janabah gets on clothes, there is neither any harm in it nor any impurity.

Hazrat Alaa reports that I asked Hazrat Hammad: If a menstruating woman’s sweat gets on her clothes, should she wash those clothes? He replied: This was something the Magians used to do.

Hazrat Nafi' narrates that Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) would sweat while in a state of janabah, but he would still perform prayer in those same clothes.

Hazrat Mak'hool did not consider there to be any harm in sweat touching the clothes.

Hazrat Sha'bi says that if the sweat of a person in a state of janabah gets on clothes, there is no harm in it.

Ibrahim says that if the sweat of a person in a state of major ritual impurity (junub) gets on clothes, there is no harm in it, nor should water be sprinkled on it.
