What Should a Junub Do if He Wants to Perform Ghusl from a Well or Pond?
Hadith 1509
١٥٠٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن علية عن ليث بن أبي سليم عن عطاء أنه قال في الجنب ينتهي إلى البئر وليس معه إناء قال: يدلي ثوبه في البئر، ثم يعصره على جسده.
Hazrat Ata, regarding the person in a state of major ritual impurity who is present at the edge of a well and does not have a vessel with him, states that he should dip his cloth, wet it, and then squeeze it over his body.
Hadith 1510
١٥١٠ - حدثنا هشيم عن أبي الزبير عن جابر أنه سئل عن الرجل الجنب ينتهي ⦗٣٠٠⦘ إلي الغدير قال: (يغتسل) (١) في ناحية منه (٢).
Hazrat Jabir was asked about a person in a state of major impurity standing by the edge of a pond, so he replied: He should perform ghusl from one side.
Hadith 1511
١٥١١ - حدثنا علي بن هاشم عن ابن أبي ليلى عن أبي الزبير عن جابر قال: كنا نستحب أن نأخذ من ماء الغدير ونغتسل به في ناحية (١).
Hazrat Jabir says that we used to like to take water from one side of the pond and perform ghusl (ritual bath).
