Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Sha'bi says that there is no harm in the foam from the mouth of an animal.

Hasan says that there is no harm in the saliva of a donkey.

Hazrat Hammad says that I avoid the foam that comes out of the mouth of an animal.

Hazrat Ibn Alaiya says that I asked Yunus about the sweat and saliva of a donkey, that if it gets on clothes, what is the ruling? He replied: It is not impure, but it will make the clothes dirty.

Hazrat Mughira says that I asked Ibrahim, "A dog has touched my clothes with its mouth. What should I do now?" He replied, "Did its saliva get on your clothes?" I said, "No." He said, "Then there is no harm."

Ibrahim says that there is no harm in the saliva of a donkey.
