من قال: اغسل من ثوبك موضع أثره
Those Who Say Semen Must Be Washed
Hadith 918
٩١٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عبدة بن سليمان عن عمرو بن ميمون قال: سألت سليمان بن يسار عن الثوب يصيبه المني أيغسله أو يغسل (الثوب) (١) كله؟ قال سليمان: قالت عائشة: كان النبي ﷺ يصيب (ثوبه) (٢)، فيغسله من ثوبه، ثم يخرج في ثوبه إلى الصلاة وأنا أرى أثر الغسل فيه (٣).
Hazrat Amr bin Maimoon says that I asked Hazrat Sulaiman bin Yasar whether, if semen gets on the clothes, one should wash the spot where the semen is or wash the entire garment. He replied that Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said that if semen would get on the clothes of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he would wash the spot of semen from the clothes and then go for prayer in the same clothes, while I could still see the mark of washing on the clothes.
Hadith 919
٩١٩ - حدثنا حفص عن أشعث عن الحكم: أن ابن مسعود كان يغسل أثر الاحتلام من ثوبه (١).
Hazrat Hakam states that Hazrat Ibn Mas'ud used to wash the traces of nocturnal emission from his clothes.
Hadith 920
٩٢٠ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن حماد عن إبراهيم قال: اغسل المني من ثوبك.
Ibrahim says: Wash the traces of ejaculation from the cloth.
Hadith 921
٩٢١ - حدثنا وكيع عن هشام عن أبيه عن (زبيد) (١): أن ابن عمر غسل ما رأى (٢).
Hazrat Zubair narrates that Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) used to wash the traces of semen.
