Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates that after performing ghusl for janabah, I take warmth from my wife even though she has not yet performed ghusl for janabah.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) says that in winter, this practice is a part of the life of the Quraysh.

Hazrat Abu Kathir says that I asked Hazrat Abu Hurairah whether a man can lie with his wife after performing ghusl (ritual bath)? He replied that there is no harm in it.

Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Aswad narrates that Hazrat Aswad, after performing ghusl of janabah, would lie down with his wife and derive warmth from her, even though his wife had not yet performed ghusl.

Ibrahim states that Alqamah used to seek warmth from his wife after performing ghusl, even though she would be in a state of janabah.

Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says that if a man wishes to lie with his wife after performing ghusl (ritual bath) of janabah, there is no harm in it.

Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib says that if a man lies with his wife, there is no need for ablution (wudu) upon him.

Hasan says that there is no harm in seeking warmth from one's wife after performing ghusl.

Hazrat Hammad considered it disliked (to lie with one's wife after ghusl) until the man's body becomes dry; after that, there is no harm.
