Ruling if a Fly or Beetle Falls into Water
Hadith 656
٦٥٦ - (حدثنا أبو بكر) (١) قال: حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا سفيان عن أبيه عن إبراهيم في الذباب يقع في الإناء، فيموت قال: لا بأس به.
Ibrahim was asked: If a fly falls into water and dies, what is the ruling? He replied: There is no harm in it.
Hadith 657
٦٥٧ - حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا سفيان عن مغيرة عن إبراهيم: أنه لم ير بأسا بالعقرب والخنفساء وكل نفس ليست بسائلة.
Ibrahim did not consider there to be any harm if a scorpion or a dung beetle fell into water; the same ruling applies to anything that does not have flowing blood.
Hadith 658
٦٥٨ - [حدثنا وكيع عن الربيع عن الحسن وعطاء: أنهما لم يريا بأسا بالخنفساء والعقرب والصرار] (١).
According to Hasan and Hazrat Ata, there is no harm in (using) the dung beetle, scorpion, and the cricket.
