Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Ibrahim bin Abdur Rahman's slave woman says that my garment used to be long and I would drag it while walking. Sometimes I would pass through a dirty place and then through a clean place. I went to Umm Salamah and asked her about this matter. She said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say that the place that comes after will purify it."

A woman from Banu Abdul Ashhal asked the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that there is a filthy place between my house and the mosque. The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked her, "Is there a clean place after that?" She replied, "Yes." He (peace be upon him) said, "That clean place will purify your garment."

Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) was asked about a person who is himself pure but passes through a filthy place. She replied that he will also pass through a pure place, and the pure place will purify him.

Hazrat Urwah says that one part of the earth purifies another part.

Hazrat Ibn Musayyib and Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) say that one part of the earth purifies another part.

Hazrat Abdullah says that we did not used to perform ablution merely because of passing through any place.

Hazrat Abu Ja'far says that one part of the earth purifies another part.

Hazrat Alqamah and Hazrat Aswad used to refrain from performing ablution due to passing through a filthy place.

Hazrat Alqamah says that passing through a filthy place does not make ablution obligatory.

Hazrat Abu Ja'far says that the purity of the earth is its becoming dry.
