Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hasan was asked about the ablution of a person who cuts hair or nails, so he said, "Cutting hair or nails does not break ablution."

Hazrat Hakam and Hazrat Ata say that ablution is not obligatory upon this; rather, this act has increased his purity.

Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair says that hair is a pure and blessed thing.

Hazrat Asim says that I saw Abu Wa'il; he cut his hair and then went to the mosque and performed prayer.

Hazrat Abu Ja'far, Ata, Hakam, and Zuhri state that cutting hair does not break wudu.

Hazrat Abu Majliz says that I saw Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) cut his nails. I asked him, "You have cut your nails but did not perform ablution?" He replied, "How intelligent you are! You are more intelligent than the person whom his family calls intelligent."
