Dislike of Using Water Left by Donkeys or Dogs for Wudu
Hadith 306
٣٠٦ - حدثنا حفص بن غياث عن عبيد اللَّه عن نافع عن ابن عمر (١): أنه كان يكره سؤر الحمار (٢).
Hazrat Nafi' says that Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar considered the leftover water of a donkey to be disliked.
Hadith 307
٣٠٧ - حدثنا (عبد الرحيم) (١) بن سليمان عن حجاج وعبيد اللَّه، عن نافع عن ابن عمر: أنه كان يكره سؤر الحمار (والكلب) (٢).
Hazrat Nafi' says that Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) considered the leftover water of donkeys and dogs to be disliked.
Hadith 308
٣٠٨ - حدثنا (حفص) (١) بن غياث عن أشعث عن الحسن وابن سيرين: أنهما كانا يكرهان (سؤر) (٢) الحمار والكلب.
Hazrat Ash'ath states that Hasan and Hazrat Ibn Sirin considered the leftovers of a donkey and a dog to be disliked and undesirable.
Hadith 309
٣٠٩ - حدثنا جرير بن عبد الحميد عن مغيرة عن إبراهيم قال: كان يكره سؤر البغل والحمار.
Hazrat Mughira states that Ibrahim considered the leftover food of mules and donkeys to be disliked (makruh).
Hadith 310
٣١٠ - حدثنا جرير عن مغيرة عن حماد قال: البغل من الحمار.
Hazrat Hammad says that the mule is of the same species as the donkey.
Hadith 311
٣١١ - حدثنا عبد الرحيم عن أشعث عن الحسن: أنه كان يكره سؤر الحمار والبغل والكلب.
Hazrat Ash'ath says that Hasan considered the leftovers of a donkey, mule, and dog to be undesirable.
Hadith 312
٣١٢ - حدثنا ابن علية عن (هشام) (١) الدستوائي عن حماد عن إبراهيم قال: كان يقول: لا توضأ بسؤر الحمار، ولا بسؤر البغل، ولا بسؤر شيء من السباع.
Ibrahim used to say that do not perform ablution with the leftover water of donkeys, mules, or any predatory animal.
Hadith 313
٣١٣ - حدثنا وكيع عن مسعر عن (ابن) (١) حكيم قال: سألت أبا وائل عن سؤر الكلب؟ فقال: ما أحب مشاركته.
Hazrat Ibn Hakeem narrates that I asked Abu Wa'il about the leftover of a dog, so he said, "I do not even like to touch it."
