Hadith 9980
٩٩٨٠ - حدثنا يزيد بن هارون قال: أنا ابن عون عن إبراهيم قال: كانوا لا يرون بصوم (يوم) (١) عرفة بأسًا إلا أن يتخوفوا أن يكون يوم الذبح.
Ibrahim states that the predecessors did not consider there to be any harm in fasting on the Day of Arafah; however, if there is a fear that it might be the Day of Sacrifice (Yawm al-Nahr), then one should not fast on that day.
