في الهلال يرى نهارا: أيفطر أم لا؟If the Moon is Sighted During the Day, Should the Fast Be Broken?
Hadith 9704
٩٧٠٤ - حدثنا (حاتم) (١) بن إسماعيل عن عبد الرحمن بن حرملة أن الناس رأوا هلال الفطر حين زاغت الشمس، فأفطر بعضهم، فذكرت ذلك لسعيد بن المسيب فقال: رآه الناس في زمن عثمان فأفطر بعضهم (فقام عثمان فقال) (٢): أما أنا فمتم صيامي إلى الليل، قال: ورئي في زمن مروان (فتوعد مروان) (٣) من أفطر، قال: سعيد فأصاب مروان (٤).
Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Harmalah says that people saw the moon after the sunlight had diminished. Upon this, some people broke their fast. I mentioned this to Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib, and he said that during the time of Hazrat Usman, people had also broken their fast after seeing the moon during the day. Upon this, Hazrat Usman said that he would complete his fast. Abdur Rahman bin Harmalah said that during the time of Marwan, once the moon was also seen during the day and some people broke their fast. Marwan spoke harshly to those who broke their fast and reprimanded them. Hazrat Saeed said that Marwan did the right thing.
