Hadith 9695
٩٦٩٥ - حدثنا يزيد بن هارون قال: حدثنا حماد بن سلمة عن ثابت قال: أتي أنس بطعام فقال لي: ادن، فقلت: لا أطعم، فقال: لا تقل لا أطعم، قل: إني صائم (١).
Hazrat Thabit narrates that food was brought to Hazrat Anas, and he said to me, "Come closer." I said, "I will not eat." He said, "Do not say, 'I will not eat,' but rather say, 'I am fasting.'"
