من كان يقول إذا دعي أحدكم إلى طعام فليجبWhat Should a Fasting Person Say When Invited to Eat?
Hadith 9693
٩٦٩٣ - حدثنا ابن فضيل عن ليث عن مجاهد قال: كان ابن عمر إذا دعي إلى طعام وهو صائم أجاب، فإذا جاؤوا بالمائدة وعليها الطعام مد يده ثم قال: خذوا بسم اللَّه فإذا أهوى القوم كف يده (١).
Hazrat Mujahid says that when Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) was invited to eat while fasting, he would accept the invitation. When the dining mat was spread and food was placed on it, he would extend his hand towards the food and say, "Begin with the name of Allah." When the people started eating, he would withdraw his hand.
