Hadith 925
٩٢٥ - حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن إبراهيم عن (همام) (١) قال: نزل بعائشة ضيف، فأمرت له بملحفة صفراء، فاحتلم فيها، فاستحيا أن يرسل بها وفيها أثر الاحتلام، فغمسها في الماء، ثم أرسل بها، فقالت عائشة: لم أفسد علينا ثوبنا؟ إنما كان يكفيه أن يفركه بأصبعه، ربما فركته من ثوب رسول اللَّه ﷺ بأصبعي (٢).
Ibrahim narrates that Hammam once visited Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) as a guest. Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) ordered that a yellow sheet be given to him. Hammam experienced a wet dream in it. He felt embarrassed to return the cloth with traces of the wet dream. So he dipped the cloth in water and returned it. Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) saw the cloth and said, "Why did he spoil our cloth? It would have been sufficient for him to scrape it off; I too sometimes used to scrape it off from the clothes of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)."
