Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Sulaiman says that I asked Hazrat Ibn Sirin, if a woman’s menstruation lasts for specific days but sometimes becomes longer, what should she do? He replied that women know more about this matter. He says that I asked Hazrat Qatadah about this and said, if a woman’s menstruation lasts for specific days and it extends by five days, what should she do? He replied that she should perform prayers. I asked, if it extends by four days? He said she should perform prayers. I asked, if it extends by three days? He said that she should perform prayers. I asked, if it extends by two days? He replied that these are the days of menstruation. In my opinion, he said this according to his own judgment.
