Hadith 9058
٩٠٥٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: ثنا (حاتم) (١) بن إسماعيل عن عبد الرحمن بن حرملة عن سعيد بن المسيب قال: رسول اللَّه ﷺ على بلال وهو يقرأ من هذه السورة ومن هذه السورة (فقال: "مررت بك يا بلال وأنت تقرأ من هذه السورة ⦗٤٤٣⦘ ومن هذه السورة") (٢) فقال: بأبي أنت يا رسول اللَّه إني أردت أن أخلط الطيب بالطيب قال: "إقرأ السورة على نحوها" (٣).
Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once passed by Hazrat Bilal, who was sometimes reciting from one surah and sometimes from another. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him, "Bilal! I passed by you and you were sometimes reciting from one surah and sometimes from another!" He replied, "O Messenger of Allah! May my father be sacrificed for you, I wished to combine fragrance with fragrance." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Recite one surah completely."
