Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Itban bin Malik narrates that I said, "O Messenger of Allah! Sometimes floods prevent me from going to my tribe's mosque. I wish that you would come to my house some day and pray at a certain place so that I may make that place a mosque." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "We will do so." So, the next day, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to my house with Hazrat Abu Bakr. He asked, "Which place do you want to make a mosque?" I pointed to a corner of the house, so he stood at that place. We formed a row behind him and he led us in two rak'ahs of prayer.
