Hadith 9000
٩٠٠٠ - حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا سفيان عن سماك بن حرب عن عكرمة عن ابن عباس قال: ذكر له أن المرأة والحمار والكلب يقطعون الصلاة (فقال) (١) ابن ⦗٤٢٨⦘ عباس: ﴿إِلَيْهِ يَصْعَدُ الْكَلِمُ الطَّيِّبُ وَالْعَمَلُ الصَّالِحُ يَرْفَعُهُ﴾ [فاطر: ١٠]، لا يقطع الصلاة شيء ولكنه يكره (٢).
Hazrat Ikrimah narrates that Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) was asked whether a woman's, donkey's, or dog's passing in front breaks the prayer. In response, he recited this blessed verse {إلَیْہِ یَصْعَدُ الْکَلِمُ الطَّیِّبُ وَالْعَمَلُ الصَّالِحُ یَرْفَعُہُ } meaning: Pure words ascend to Allah and righteous deeds are also raised up to Him. Then he said: Nothing breaks the prayer, but such an act is disliked.
