Hadith 8953
٨٩٥٣ - حدثنا (١) جعفر بن برقان عن عقبة بن نافع قال: سمعت ابن عمر يقول: ليس من صلاة إلا وفيها قراءة وجلوس في الركعتين وتشهد وتسليم، فإن لم تفعل ذلك سجدت سجدتين بعد ما تسلم (وأنت جالس) (٢) (٣).
Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that in every prayer there is recitation, sitting after two rak'ahs, tashahhud, and saying salam. If you did not do so, then after saying salam, sit and perform two prostrations.
