Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Sha’bah says that I asked Hazrat Hakam and Hazrat Hammad: If a person joins a congregation while they are sitting in the final tashahhud, should he say the takbeer and sit down? Both of them replied that when he stands up, he will count that takbeer.
