Hadith 8718
٨٧١٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال (١): ثنا جرير عن مغيرة عن إبراهيم قال: صلى عمر صلاة عند البيت فقرأ: ﴿لِإِيلَافِ قُرَيْشٍ﴾ فجعل يومئ إلى البيت ويقول: ﴿فَلْيَعْبُدُوا رَبَّ هَذَا الْبَيْتِ (٣) الَّذِي أَطْعَمَهُمْ مِنْ جُوعٍ وَآمَنَهُمْ مِنْ خَوْفٍ﴾ [قريش: ١، ٣ - ٤] (٢).
Ibrahim narrates that Hazrat Umar prayed near the Ka'bah. When he recited (due to granting protection to the Quraysh), he pointed towards the Ka'bah. Then he recited: "They should worship the Lord of this House, Who fed them in hunger and granted them safety from fear."
