Hadith 8695
٨٦٩٥ - حدثنا أبو معاوية عن عبد الرحمن بن (زياد) (١) بن أنعم عن عبد الرحمن ابن رافع عن عبد اللَّه بن (عمرو) (٢) قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "إذا جلس الإمام ثم أحدث فقد تمت صلاته ومن كان خلفه ممن أدرك معه الصلاة على مثل ذلك" (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the Imam sits in the final sitting (Qa'dah Akheerah) and his ablution breaks, then his prayer is complete, and the prayer of those who prayed with him is also complete.
