Hadith 8550
٨٥٥٠ - حدثنا وكيع عن جعفر بن برقان (قال) (١): قال كتب إلينا عمر بن عبد العزيز في زلزلة كانت بالشام أن اخرجوا يوم الإثنين من شهر كذا وكذا ومن استطاع منكم أن يخرج صدقة فليفعل، فإن اللَّه تعالى قال: ﴿قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ تَزَكَّى (١٤) وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهِ فَصَلَّى﴾ [الأعلى: ١٤ - ١٥].
Hazrat Ja'far bin Burqan says that Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz wrote to us about the earthquake in Syria, instructing that on the second day of such-and-such month, go out, and whoever among you has the ability to give charity should give charity. Because Allah Almighty says: Successful indeed is the one who purifies himself, and remembers the name of his Lord, and prays.
