Hadith 8506
٨٥٠٦ - حدثنا يحيى بن آدم قال: ثنا] (١) سفيان عن موسى بن عقبة عن نافع عن ابن عمر قال: صلى (٢) رسول اللَّه ﷺ صلاة الخوف في بعض أيامه، فقامت طائفة معه وطائفة بإزاء العدو فصلى بالذين معه ركعة ثم ذهبوا، وجاء الآخرون فصلى بهم ركعة ثم قضت الطائفتان ركعة ركعة. قال: وقال ابن عمر: إذا كان خوف أكثر من ذلك فصل راكبا أو قائما تومئ إيماء (٣).
Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once led the prayer of fear. One group stood with him and another group faced the enemy. The group present with him performed one rak‘ah, then went towards the enemy. Then the second group came and he led them in one rak‘ah. Afterwards, both groups made up one rak‘ah each. Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that if the fear of the enemy is even greater than this, then perform the prayer by gesture, standing or riding.
