Hadith 8384
٨٣٨٤ - حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا هشام بن عروة عن أبيه عن عائشة (قالت) (١): أول ما فرضت الصلاة ركعتين ثم زيد فيها فجعل للمقيم أربعًا (٢).
Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that initially only two rak'ahs of prayer were made obligatory, then they were increased and for a resident four rak'ahs were prescribed.
