Hadith 8327
٨٣٢٧ - حدثنا غندر عن شعبة قال: سألت الحكم وحمادًا عن الرجل يتكلم في الصلاة فقالا: إذا تكلم وقد فرغ (من صلاته) (١) فزاد فقد مضت وعليه سجدتا السهو، وإن تكلم ولم يتم صلاته فإنه يعيد.
Hazrat Sha’bah says that I asked Hazrat Hakam and Hazrat Hammad: If a person speaks during prayer, what is the ruling? They replied: If he spoke after completing the prayer while he was making some addition, then his prayer is valid and he should perform sajdah sahw (prostration of forgetfulness). But if he spoke before completing the prayer, then he must repeat the prayer.
