Hadith 7988
٧٩٨٨ - حدثنا ابن علية عن الجريري عن الحكم بن الأعرج قال: سألت (ابن عمر) (١) عن صلاة الضحى وهو (مسند) (٢) ظهره إلى حجرة النبي ﷺ فقال: بدعة ونعمت البدعة (٣).
Hazrat Hakam bin A'raj narrates that I asked Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) about the reality of the Duha (forenoon) prayer, at that time he was reclining against the blessed chamber of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He replied that it is an innovation, and a very good innovation.
