Hadith 7986
٧٩٨٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: ثنا وكيع قال: ثنا شعبة عن توبة العنبري عن مورق العجلي قال: قلت لابن عمر (أتصلي) (١) الضحى؟ قال: لا، قلت: صلاها عمر؟ قال: لا قلت: صلاها أبو بكر؟ قال: لا، قلت: صلاها النبي ﷺ؟ قال: لا (أخال) (٢) (٣).
Hazrat Muraq ‘Ajli says that I asked Hazrat Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) whether he performed the Duha (forenoon) prayer. He replied, "No." I asked, "Did Hazrat ‘Umar perform the Duha prayer?" He replied, "No." I asked, "Did Hazrat Abu Bakr?" He replied, "No." I asked, "Did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) perform the Duha prayer?" He replied, "I think that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) also did not perform this prayer."
