Hadith 7917
٧٩١٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: ثنا ابن عيينة عن إبراهيم بن (ميسرة) (١) عن طاوس قال: سمعت ابن عباس يقول: دعاني عمر لأتغدى عنده -قال أبو بكر: يعني السحور في رمضان- (فسمع) (٢) (هيعة) (٣) الناس حين خرجوا من المسجد قال: ما هي؟ قال: (هيعة) (٤) الناس حيث خرجوا من المسجد قال: ما بقي من الليل خير مما ذهب منه (٥).
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that once Hazrat Umar invited me for sahur. During this time, he heard the noise of people leaving the mosque, so he asked, "What is this?" He was informed that people were leaving the mosque. He said, "The remaining part of the night is better than the part that has passed."
