Hadith 7858
٧٨٥٨ - حدثنا وكيع ثنا مسعر عن أبي صخرة جامع بن شداد قال: سمعت حمران بن أبان مولى عثمان يقول: كنت أضع لعثمان طهوره فما أتى عليه (يوم) (١) إلا وهو (يفيض) (٢) (منه) (٣) عليه نطفة من ماء، فقال عثمان: حدثنا رسول اللَّه ﷺ عند انصرافنا من صلاتنا هذه (قال) (٤) مسعر: (أراه) (٥) قال العصر فقال: ما أدري أحدثكم أو أسكت قال: قلنا يا رسول اللَّه إن كان خيرا فحدثنا وإن كان غير ذلك فاللَّه ورسوله أعلم، فقال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "ما من رجل يتوضأ فيحسن الوضوء ⦗١٤٧⦘ ثم يصلي إلا غفر له ما بينه وبين الصلاة الأخرى" (٦).
Hazrat Humran bin Aban, the freed slave of Usman, narrates that I used to prepare water for Hazrat Usman for bathing. He would bathe with it every day, even if he used only a little water. One day he said that once the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) told us after this prayer (Asr), "I do not know whether I should tell you something or remain silent?" We said, "O Messenger of Allah! If there is good in it, then tell us; if it is otherwise, then Allah and His Messenger know best." Then the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Whenever a person performs ablution well and then offers prayer, all his sins committed up to the previous prayer are forgiven."
