Hadith 7755
٧٧٥٥ - حدثنا هاشم بن القاسم ثنا شيبان عن هلال بن أبي حميد الأنصاري عن عروة بن الزبير عن عائشة، قالت: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ في مرضه الذي لم يقم منه: "لعن اللَّه اليهود والنصارى اتخذوا قبور أنبيائهم مساجد، ولولا ذلك (لأبرز) (١) قبره إلا أنه خشي أن يتخذ مسجدًا" (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said during his final illness that Allah Almighty cursed the Jews and Christians because they made the graves of their prophets places of prostration. Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that if there had not been a fear of the Prophet’s (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) grave being made a place of prostration, his blessed grave would have been made prominent and clearly visible.
