Hadith 7034
٧٠٣٤ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن أبي إسحاق عن عاصم عن علي قال: الوتر ليس بحتم ولكنه (سنة) (١) (سنّها) (٢) رسول اللَّه ﷺ (٣).
Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says that Witr is not obligatory. Rather, it is a Sunnah which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has declared as Sunnah.
