في الجنب كم يكفيه؟How Much Bathing is Sufficient for a Junub
Hadith 701
٧٠١ - حدثنا أبو خالد الأحمر عن محمد بن عجلان عن سعيد بن أبي سعيد عن أبي هريرة قال: سأله رجل كم أفيض على رأسى وأنا جنب؟ قال: كان رسول اللَّه ﷺ يحثو على رأسه ثلاث حثيات، فقال الرجل: إن شعري طويل؟ فقال: كان رسول اللَّه ﷺ أكثر منك شعرا وأطيب (١).
Someone asked Hazrat Abu Huraira that if I have to perform ghusl in the state of janabah, how much water should I pour on my head? He replied that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pour three handfuls of water on his blessed head. The person said that my hair is long. Hazrat Abu Huraira replied, The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had hair longer and better than yours.
