Hadith 699
٦٩٩ - حدثنا أبو الأحوص عن طارق عن عاصم بن (عمرو) (١) قال: خرج نفر من أهل العراق إلى عمر، فسألوه عن غسل الجنابة، فقال (سألتموني عن ⦗١٤٠⦘ خصال ما سألني عنها أحد منذ سألت رسول اللَّه ﷺ غيركم، أما غسل الجنابة، فتوضأ وضوءك للصلاة (٢).
Hazrat Asim bin Umar narrates that a delegation from Iraq came to Hazrat Umar and asked him about the ritual bath (ghusl) after major impurity (janabah). He replied, "You have asked me about something that no one has asked me since the time I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about it. In the ritual bath after major impurity, perform the same ablution (wudu) that you do for prayer."
