Hadith 6979
٦٩٧٩ - حدثنا هشيم قال: أخبرنا خالد عن عبد اللَّه بن شقيق عن ابن عمر أن النبي ﷺ قال: "صلاة الليل مثنى مثنى، والوتر واحدة، وسجدتان قبل صلاة الصبح" (١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The night prayer is in sets of two rak'ahs. Witr is one rak'ah. And before the Fajr prayer, there are two prostrations.
