Hadith 6977
٦٩٧٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن عيينة عن الزهري عن سالم عن أبيه قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "صلاة الليل مثنى مثنى فإذا خشيت الصبح فأوتر بركعة" (١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The night prayer is in sets of two rak'ahs. When you fear the approach of dawn, then pray one rak'ah.
