Hadith 6240
٦٢٤٠ - حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا داود بن عبد الرحمن قال: حدثني عمرو بن يحيى المازني أن رجلًا حد في (فرية) (١) فكان يؤم أصحابه، فسألوا عمر بن عبد العزيز فقال: كيف رأيتموه (فقالوا) (٢): قد كان منه ما كان فأثنوا عليه خيرًا فأمره أن يؤمهم.
Hazrat Amr bin Yahya says that a man had the punishment of hadd carried out on him for the crime of making a false accusation. He used to lead his people in prayer. People asked Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz about this matter, so he asked them, "How do you find him?" The people said that he no longer commits that crime. The people praised him. Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz ordered that he should continue to lead the prayers.
