القرب من المسجد أفضل أم البعدIs it better to live closer or farther from the mosque?
Hadith 6143
٦١٤٣ - حدثنا يزيد بن هارون قال: (أنا) (١) حميد الطويل عن أنس بن مالك أن بني سلمة أرادوا أن يتحولوا (عن) (٢) منازلهم (فيبنوا) (٣) قريبًا من المسجد فكره رسول اللَّه ﷺ أن تعرى المدينة فقال: "يا بني سلمة (ألا تحتسبون آثاركم؟) (٤) " قالوا: بلى، فثبتوا (٥).
Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Banu Salamah intended to leave their area and build houses near the mosque. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) disliked that Madinah should become crowded and said, "O Banu Salamah! Do you not believe in the reward for your steps?" They replied, "Why not." Then they decided to remain in their own place.
